A CASE OF COMBINED CENTRAL AND PERIPHERAL DEMYELINATION IN A PATIENT WITH PEDIATRIC MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AFTER SARS-COV-2 VACCINATION

We present a case of combined central and peripheral demyelination in patient with pediatric multiple sclerosis after the first dose ChAdOx1-S (Chimpanzee Adenovirus Oxford 1) vaccination. The presented ascending flaccid quadriparesis respiratory failure that required mechanical ventilation. lumbar puncture revealed albuminocytological dissociation, was negative for presence JCV (John Cunningham Virus) CSF (Cerebrospinal Fluid) ruled out other infections. A few days later he developed anisocoria new enlarging acute demyelinating lesions brain MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). He treated intravenous immunoglobulin, corticosteroids plasma exchange gradual improvement. All diseases were excluded via MR Spectroscopy, Angiography serum laboratory investigations. Seven months later, is under intense physiotherapy improving every day.
